Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon both desire vindication

Undefeated and undisputed lightweight champion, Irish Katie Taylor, will defend her titles against former champion Delfine Persoon from Belgium , in an anticipated rematch on August 22nd at the Matchroom Fight Camp, in Essex, UK.

Taylor and Persoon faced each other in June last year, in a peppery hotly contested fight that was won by a majority decision by Taylor, with a lead of just two points on two of the judge cards, drawing on the third card.

Since then, the fans have been clamoring to see fight two, and although Taylor (15-0, 6 knockouts) was aiming for a match with Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano, it is not finalized at the moment. So the rematch against Persoon, who has the record of 44-2, 18 knockouts, is now scheduled.
