A rest is as good as a Braekhus seeking to overtake Joe Louis` defenses record
When Matchroom Boxing returns to the United States, the promotion will feature undisputed welterweight champion, Norwegian Cecilia Braekhus, who`ll be fighting Jessica McCaskill on August 15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
If Braekhus successfully retains her world titles, it`ll break a hallowed and legendary 72 years old record. A victory will add up to 26th consecutive defenses, breaking Joe Louis’ great record in the 1940s.
Braekhus (36-0), who made her professional debut in 2007, successfully defended her crown last November against Victoria Bustos by unanimous decision.
