From WBF:
Namus Confirmed For WBF-Challenge Against Kozin
By: Clive Baum
Former World Super Welterweight Champion Chris Namus has been confirmed as the opponent for World Boxing Federation (WBF) Womens World Middleweight Champion Ema Kozin on September 5 in Donauworth, Germany.
Namus, 25-5 (8), was scheduled to challenge Kozin, 19-0-1 (10), pre Covid-19 lock-down, but it was unclear if it would be possible to reschedule the match-up due to various restrictions. However, it now looks like the mouth-watering fight is once again on.
The 32-year-old from Uruguay had three failed world title-challenges, at Light Welterweight and Welterweight, before winning the IBF World Super Welterweight title in August of 2017 when she defeated Yamila Esther Reynoso from Argentina.
She made one successful defense against compatriot Katia Alvarino, before losing her crown to Marie Eva Dicaire in Canada in December of 2018. Now she gets the opportunity to become a two-weight world champion against Slovenian Kozin.
Kozin (21), also the WBF World Champion at Super Middleweight, will be making her third defense of the WBF World Middleweight title.
