WBO Junior Lightweight Champion Ewa Brodnicka Puts Belt and Record on the Line with Young and Hungry Mikaela Mayer on October 31

Inside “the Bubble” at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, WBO Junior Lightweight Champion Ewa Brodnicka (19-0, 2 KOs) makes her US debut with her belt and unbeaten record on the line on Top Rank’s ESPN+ broadcast show against their heavily touted undefeated contender Mikaela Mayer (13-0, 5 KOs).

After signed with Matchroom Boxing powerful female stable, “Kleo” Brodnicka has been in camp in Florida before the trek west to the desert bubble as a somewhat considered an underdog on Halloween night.

NABF Super Featherweight Champion Mayer has been on a terror since leaving the unpaid ranks in 2017, recently dominating championship contender Helen Joseph in July to warrant a shot at a major title.

Mayer has not been given an east lineup of opposition to start her career. Debuting in August of 2017, her opposition’s combined record has been 113-45-12 with none posing much of a threat of defeat.

This matchup will be an intriguing one in a division with young and powerful champions like Terri Harper, Hyun Mi Choi, Maiva Hamadouche along with a long list of up and coming champions.

Someone’s ZERO (Losses) has got to go!
